Create an account at ESNcard.org/register and activate your card by adding its number to the form. If you had another ESNcard before, you can simply add the new ESNcard number to your user account.

Your ESNcard number is written on your ESNcard under the “ESN section” blank. It consists of 7 digits and 4 capital letters (the last letter can be sometimes replaced by another digit).

You are ready to go! You can check all discounts on ESNcard.org. As long as your ESNcard has not expired, you can use it for all ESNcard discounts in Europe. You can also check all local, national and international partners at esnlisboa.org.

The ESNcard is valid for 1 year.

With the number you can register on ESNcard.org/register, and after you can use it for ESNcard discounts.

If you are under or 23 years old, consider getting a NIF number to get the transportation card monthly subscription for free. To get the NIF, you can either go to one of the Finanças offices around the country or use the partnership we have with NIF4Erasmus to get it faster and without trouble.

To get the transportation card itself (called "Navegante") you can go to a station with a Espaço Navegante and get it done there. Don't forget your ID and a photo for the card. In some stations, for instance, Marquês de Pombal Metro Station, you can use the app Próximo to request a ticket and waste less time in the queue.

The regular pass, Navegante Municipal, costs 30€ per month. We advise you to get Navegante Metropolitano, which costs 40€ (only 10€ more), so you can travel to all the municipalities of Lisbon, instead of only Lisbon itself. With the NIF, however, you can get any of these options for free.

You can also use the Zapping method, which consists in using the Lisboa VIVA card as a prepaid card, in which each ride is discounted from your card balance.

Register in ESNcard.org. This information will be used to validate your ESNcard during your flight booking process, as well as your ESNcard number.

Go to myRyanair and sign-up or log-in if you already have an account. Add your details in the “Erasmus” tab of your myRyanair dashboard.

Make sure that all details match your ESNcard user profile data. Wait until your ESNcard and other details are validated.This is not a live validation, so it might take a few days (try refreshing the page after you added the details).

Once it is validated, use the booking widget at the bottom of the Erasmus section of your myRyanair dashboard. Online booking made using this widget will be considered for the discount.

You are ready to go! Book your flight and start your journey! Keep in mind that you must book your tickets at least 28 days in advance.

ESN Lisboa can provide you a Vodafone Yorn SIM card. If you got our welcome kit, you should find one inside, but you can always get one in our Office. Find all about the different plans and how to activate it here.

The two closest, and most famous beaches are in Carcavelos, and Costa da Caparica.

Carcavelos is on the Cais do Sodré – Cascais train line. From Cais do Sodré there is train in every 20 minutes to Carcavelos.

Costa da Caparica is on the other side of the river Tagus. The direct bus from Lisbon is the 161 service operated by Transportes Sul do Tejo (TST), departures from Praça do Areeiro.

You have to fill out our form on our website, esnlisboa.org/buddy. You can find it in the Lisbon Basics menu, on the Get Your Buddy page. All the information about the program is also there.

You can register on esnlisboa.org/events. Here you find all of the events. If you choose the event click on purchase, and sign up with your ESNcard number.

We recommend you to go to Carcavelos, or Costa da Caparica.

In Costa da Caparica you can expect diverse surf spots for beginners and intermediates.

Carcavelos is a perfect spot for beginners when the huge swells hit the portuguese coast.

In Carcavelos or Costa da Caparica, we recommend you to rent your equipment at our partner Gota D'Água Surf School.

With your ESNcard you get discounts on the equipments, you can check the discounts on our website.

We recommend you to choose our partner Gota D'Água Surf School. Gota D'Água has surf classes for all levels of learning, as well as a van available to pick up students at the center of Lisbon: Largo Luís de Camões, in Chiado. From here, they will take you to the best surfing spots.

With your ESNcard you get discounts on the lessons, you can check the discounts on our website.
